Sullivan’s Island is an ocean beach community, somewhat more rustic than it’s northern neighbor, Isle of Palms. Hurricane Hugo in 89 took out many of the older cottages and have since been replaced mostly by larger vacation rental homes. An appealing point to this, as of condo’s and hotels. There are none on Sullivan’s Island. There is, however, a plentiful supply of vacation rentals which offer a fun, relaxing and affordable vacation for the family.
